Our Thanksgiving Blessing
Gracious God, we are thankful to be able to provide this meal and share it with others. We are thankful for all the men and women who have chosen service to this country and who are unable to be with their families. Bless those who must work today to sustain themselves and their loved ones. We pray for all of our family and friends who are not with us today and that they are grateful for what they have. We pray for Mom, who is not able to be with us at this meal, and that you will comfort and care for her. We pray for her care givers and especially those who serve her through hospice.
And in a world full of turmoil we pray for our leaders that they may be led towards making this world better for our children and their descendents and that children everywhere be provided with a home, love and family. Bless those at this table who share this meal that they may use it towards your service. And as Mom has always prayed, please bless all those we love and especially those we don’t. Amen

Melt It Then Drink It (we hope!)--ON THE MOON!

I've been reading about water on the moon and how much there really is but this article was the first one that I had read that actually said there might be frozen, meltable water on the moon.

Just a little something funny...
A new pastor was visiting in the homes of his parishioners. At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door. Therefore, he took out a business card and wrote 'Revelation 3:20' on the back of it and stuck it in the door.
When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic message, 'Genesis 3:10..' Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20 begins 'Behold, I stand at the door and knock.' Genesis 3:10 reads, 'I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked.
